Elizabeth Edwards Just got REAL STUPID

Well, I predicted last night during live-blogging on the debate that the 'Cheney's daughter is a lesbian' gaffe was going to be a big problem for Kerry. Someone should really inform the Kerry campaign how this is playing with the American people. I commented on this earlier today here.

Last night, this is what Lynne Cheney (the mom) said in a post-debate rally in Pittsburgh:
"The only thing I could conclude is that this is not a good man. This is not a good man. And, of course, I'm speaking as a mom. And a pretty indignant one. This is not a good man. What a cheap and tawdry political trick."

Elizabeth Edwards has picked up this hot potato.See it here.
"She's overreacted to this and treated it as if it's shameful to have this discussion. I think that's a very sad state of affairs… I think that it indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences… It makes me really sad that that's Lynne's response."

Elizabeth, It is your team that is trying to use a child of your oppenent for political gain. Have you asked her permission for dropping her name in such a public manner on the national stage? You people are users. Plain and simple and when someone calls you on it, you get even more crass. A mother is reacting to a political party propping her daughter up on a national stage for some perceived partisan benefit. Check your Kool-Aid is being spiked.
