GreenDay Stupidity

So between bathing little boys and putting them to bed I'm catching the Grammy's here and there. GreenDay took the stage and sung the awful song American Idiot. Why am I posting about this you ask? Because EVERY person in that auditorium in Los Angeles stood to cheer and applause this vile performance as represented by the lyrics of the song. I am posting the lyrics in their entirety for anyone interested in knowing what celebrities will applaud. Warning: Graphic Language ahead.
Green Day - American Idiot Lyrics

Don't want to be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new mania.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mindfuck America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the idiot nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the idiot nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Don't want to be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information age of hysteria.
It's going out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

I believe most of us know who the idiot is here. GreenDay will never get my business. Why would people applaud being called an idiot? Now take a look at the message of defeatism: "Everything isn't meant to be okay."

Say an extra prayer tonight thanking God these appeasing, small-minded jerks did not get their guy in the White House. The Stupidity Runeth Over!!! Shame on the entertainment industry who propel these vile lyrics forward into our young peoples' minds. Ugh.
